If you have an unqualified teacher working in your school, then we'd be keen to discuss our Assessment Only Route to support them to qualify. This consists of a 12-week assessment process, resulting in QTS. The cost is £2500, including a non-refundable £500 for an initial assessment visit. Minimum requirements for the assessment only route are:
The applicant will need to be working at Teachers’ Standards already, without the need for any training.
If they are not, a salaried SCITT training route might be the better option.
A comparison between assessment only and a salaried SCITT is here.
The applicant will need to have independently planned and taught classes for at least two years.
If you are a teaching assistant, please refer to Get into Teaching, where is states that “it’s unlikely you’ll have the experience required for assessment only.”
If this is the case, a salaried SCITT training route might be the better option.

The applicant will need to have worked in at least two different schools; their current school can count as one of these.
A school may decide to arrange a second school experience when exploring the potential of this route, if needed.
The applicant will need a UK degree. Secondary applicants must have a subject relevant degree. Candidates with a 2:2 will be considered.
Primary: will also need GCSEs or equivalent at grade C/4 or above in English, Mathematics and Science.
Secondary: will also need GCSEs or equivalent at grade C/4 or above in English and Mathematics.
